Warren G. Miller, 88, of Nokomis, died on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 11:15 a.m. at Hillsboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hillsboro.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 8, from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 8, at 10 a.m. at the church, with father Michael Meinhart officiating. Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis is assisting with arrangements.
Mr. Miller was born on Aug. 20, 1935, in Irving, to the late Harrison and Beatrice (Robinson) Miller. He married Hazel Howard on May 16, 1953, in St. Charles, MO, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Barbara Rios and Brenda L. Compton, both of Nokomis; three grandchildren, Paul Warren Rios of South Carolina, April Drake of Sullivan and Laura Compton of Rochester; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his sisters, Imogene Greenwood, Francis Keiser, Teresa VanOstran and Verda Driscoll; brothers, Elmer, Kenneth, Richard and Leonard Miller; half-sisters, Mildred Garin, Helen Smith and Agness Waldeck; and a son-in-law, Dean Compton.
Memorials may be made to St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis.
