Sandra Sue (Porter) Hand, 71, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, June 30, at 7:29 a.m. in Hillsboro.
Arrangements are pending at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. A complete obituary will be published in a later issue.
Mrs. Hand was born June 8, 1953, in Hillsboro, the daughter of William Porter and Frances (Yantis) Porter Hanauer. She graduated from Hillsboro High School. Mrs. Hand married Timothy Hand on July 14, 1979, in Hillsboro. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2021.
Mrs. Hand worked at the Illinois Department of Revenue in Springfield as a tax specialist, and lived in Sherman and Hillsboro during her lifetime.
She loved needlepoint and crafts in general, as well as the St. Louis Cardinals and the Illinois Fighting Illini.
Mrs. Hand is survived by her son, Zachary (wife, Tracy) Hand of Aurora; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
