Stanley Franklin Walker, 65, of Fillmore, died on Sunday, June 30, 2024, in Fillmore, at his residence with his longtime companion, Joan Oller by his side.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 2, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Stiehl Dawson. Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Walker was born to the late Donald E. Walker and Julia M. Myers in Springfield. He was employed as a union painter.
He is survived by his children, Steven F. Walker of Coffeen, Zach Gibbs of Taylorville, Derek Gibbs of Coffeen and Shannon Schroyer of Schram City; grandchildren Odessa Gibbs, Harley Schroyer and Kaisyn Walker; siblings James Walker of Florida, Carol Lewis of Virden and Annie Walker of Virden.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Walker and grandson, Xavier Gibbs.
