Mary Theresa Lindsey, 73, of Litchfield, died on Friday, June 28, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation & Health Care in Hillsboro.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 3, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Litchfield Family Funeral Service. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with pastor Nathan Diverly officiating and son Matt Beckham as the eulogist. Burial will follow at Crabtree Cemetery in Litchfield.
Mrs. Lindsey was born on March 12, 1951 in Litchfield, a daughter of the late Frank C. and Sophie (Lasko) Komor. She attended Litchfield schools. She married William T. Beckham, Sr., in September of 1970 and they later divorced. She then married Benton J. “Jim” Lindsey on May 11, 1990 in Edwardsville, and he survives.
She loved thrifting and often found good sales and items at local yard sales. She liked playing the lottery and slots, and bingo was one of her favorite games. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her children, Sheila (Chuck) Wall of Mt. Olive, William (Cindy) Beckham, Jr. of Litchfield, Matthew (Tracy) Beckham of Litchfield and Jamie Lindsey of Litchfield; seven grandchildren, Katie Hargis, Kelsey (Dylan) Zippay, Tessa Beckham, Billy Beckham, Mason Beckham, Eliza Beckham and Eden Beckham; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Shirley (Joe) Arnott of Alexandria, VA, Jim (Maryann) Komor of Litchfield, Patty Weller of Litchfield, Rose Marie Komor of Litchfield, Nancy (Rick) Striplin of Bremen, KY and Robert (Vicki) Komor of Litchfield; sister-in-law, Jan Komor of Litchfield; and several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Zachary Michael Hudzik; brother, Frank Komor, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Harry Weller.
