Tony Lee Dyer, 53, of Coffeen, died on Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at 5:01 p.m. at his residence.
Cremation rites were accorded. Inurnment will be held at Olive Hill Cemetery in Coffeen. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen is assisting the family.
Mr. Dyer was born May 26, 1969, in Carlinville, to Earl and Geraldine (Pocklington) Dyer. He married Shelly Thacker on Oct. 11, 2012, at Grace Fellowship Church in Fillmore, and she survives.
During his career, he served as a laborer for Labor Local #1084 in Hillsboro and had previously worked laying floors.
Mr. Dyer was a member of Labor Local #1084 in Hillsboro and attended Grace Fellowship Church in Fillmore. He lived in Palmyra, Carlinville and Coffeen throughout his lifetime.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Isaiah (wife Carissa) Wright, Megan (husband Ryan) Holland, Tiffanie Thacker and Moriah Thacker; 12 grandchildren; and brother, Earl J. (wife Linda) Dyer of Springfield.
Mr. Dyer was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild; and two brothers, Harvey Dyer and Bub Dyer.
