Scott A. White, 48, of Hillsboro, died on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023, at 6:11 p.m. at his residence.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Mark Noyes officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Nokomis.
Mr. White was born July 14, 1974, in Hillsboro, to Ronald A. White and Barbara (House) Jones.
He attended Hillsboro schools and worked as a cook at The Moonlight “Y” in Hillsboro.
Mr. White was a member of the Lutheran Church of Hillsboro. He loved riding his motorcycle, collecting rocks and antiques and spending time with family.
He was a lifelong resident of Hillsboro.
Mr. White is survived by his mother, Barbara House (husband David) Jones of Piedmont, MO; siblings, Rex White of St. Charles, MO, Drex White of Annapolis, MD, and Patricia Horn of Piedmont, MO; stepbrothers, Randy (wife Debbie) Jones of Schram City and Jody (wife Debbie) Jones of Hillsboro; maternal grandmother, Shirley Burrows; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and Owyn Lancaster, who he raised as his daughter.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Bobbie House, Paul White and Joann White Clarke; and brother, Jeremy T. White in 2015.
