Helen Mary Painter Boehler, 107, of Farmersville, formerly of Raymond and Morrisonville, died on May 9, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Sherman.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 14, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Farmersville from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., with a funeral mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Saint Maurice Catholic Cemetery in Morrisonville. Hough Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mrs. Boehler was born the daughter of John and Floy Minnis Bergschneider in Harvel on Feb. 11, 1917. She married Earl Painter on Feb. 14, 1939, and he proceeded her in death on Aug. 20, 1981. On Oct. 20, 1984, she married Roy C. Boehler and he proceeded her in death in 1999.
For many years, Mrs. Boehler, worked as a cook for the Morrisonville School District before she retired.
Mrs. Boehler is survived by her three children, Dottie (Mike) Colbrook of Sherman, Elaine (Don) Held of Farmersville, and Ron (Andrea) Painter of Hot Springs Village, AR; nine grandchildren, Karen Painter, Robert (Jessica) Painter, Brad (Kathy) Colbrook, Brian Colbrook, Randy (Tricia) Patterson, Ryan (Blair) Patterson, Craig (Samantha) Held, Tim Hollowell, Colleen Donaldson; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Leona Hacker of Girard.
In addition to her parents and both husbands, she was proceeded in death by one daughter, Rosalie Hallowell; son-in-law Jim Hallowell; and four brothers Elmer Bergschneider, Johnny Bergschneider, Eddie Bergschneider and Leo Bergschneider.
Memorials may be given in Helen‘s memory to either the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight, or to the cemetery of the donors choice.
