Edith Marie Law, 90, of Litchfield, died on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at 7:08 p.m. at Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Litchfield.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Jan. 16, at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield with the Rev. Jim Brown officiating. Burial followed at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.
Mrs. Law was born Jan. 15, 1932, in Wood River, to the Rev. John Louis and Bertha Florence (England) Flack. She married Clarence Dale “Dutch” Law, Sr. on Aug. 25, 1950, at Litchfield Assembly of God Church, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2011.
She had been employed at Roller Derby Skate Corp. and as a telephone operator. Known as a great cook, she had also been employed at the White Cottage Cafe and the Spring Air Cafe, both in Raymond.
Mrs. Law enjoyed hobbies, crafts and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas E. (Sandra) Law, Sr., of Union, MO, and Will (Michele) Law of Litchfield; four daughters, Bertha Law and Nora Law, both of Litchfield, Lawanda (Jeffrey) Allen of Decatur and Mary Lou (Roger, Sr.) Allgood of Cave-In-Rock; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Stella Stevens of Hemet, CA.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Law was preceded in death by her parents; son, Clarence Law, Jr.; daughter, Alberta Jean Watson; five brothers, David Flack, John Flack, Melvin Flack, William Flack and Reuben Flack; and two sisters, Lucy Hale and Neoma Wineke.
