Edith F. Petska, 88

Edith Faye Petska, 88, of Coalton, died on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, at her home with family by her side.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Davis officiating.

Ms. Petska was born April 11, 1934, in Ramsey, to the Rev. John and Sarah Frances (Dilbeck) Eller.

A high school graduate, she went on to become a certified nursing assistant (CNA). She had worked for the Nokomis Dress Factory, sold Avon and worked many years as a cook at Rose Bud Cafe in Pana.

Ms. Petska loved playing Bingo and bowled for many years on ladies’ leagues at Town Pump Bowl in Nokomis. She traveled extensively with her sisters and was a loyal Elvis Presley fan.

She is survived by her children, Cathy Adkins and Terry Davis, both of Taylorville, Diane Lucchi (Stan) Wideman of Bingham, Joe Lucchi and Mary Davis, both of Pana, Bonnie (Jerry) Ross and Jerry Davis, both of Coalton, Sarah Hayes of Klamath Falls, OR, and Gloria Romine of Maricooa, AZ; sister, Evelyn Stevenson of Coalton; 35 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

Ms. Petska was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Clifford Eller, Carl Eller, Arthur Eller, Roy Eller, Mildred Hicks and Madge Ray.
