David Eugene Leetham, 56, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023 in Lincoln.
A visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a funeral service to follow. Services will be held at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Troy White officiating. Burial will be in Waveland Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Mr. Leetham was born March 30, 1967, in Hillsboro, to Carl E. “Sonny” and Carol Ann (Ewald) Leetham. He married Melissa Kruger, and they later divorced.
He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1985. He worked for Schutt Manufacturing and he served in the US Navy. He was an outdoorsman, having always enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and riding dirt bikes. He was also a lover of all animals, his music and socializing with friends.
Mr. Leetham is survived by his father Carl “Sonny” (April) Leetham of Hillsboro; brothers Kevin (Jenny) Leetham and Randy (Holly) Leetham, both of Hillsboro; nieces and nephew Alexis, Alec and Alivia Leetham; and great-nephew Colton Powell-Leetham.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol, and his grandparents.
