Charles Richard Legg, 73, of Hillsboro, died June 22, 2024, at his residence.
Private family services are being held. Hough and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Legg was born on March 21, 1951, in East St. Louis to his parents, the late Robert and Cleda (Recklien) Legg. He graduated from Collinsville High School and later received a bachelor’s degree. He married Theresa Wheeling on June 21, 2003, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 21, 2021.
Mr. Legg worked as a social worker in the Alhambra and Taylor Springs areas.
Mr. Legg is survived by his children, Chas (wife Marla) Legg and Ashley (husband Mike) Huff, both of Greenville; four grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Bradley and Heidi Huff; and three stepgrandchildren, Conner Reeves and Josh and Lillian Phillips.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Legg was preceded in death by his siblings Robert, James, Vickie and Larry.
