Brenda Kay Homa, 64, of Witt, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at 12:19 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Cremation rites were accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Homa was born on May 17, 1957 in Pana, the daughter of Harold Lester and Wilma (Bolte) Darnell.

Mrs. Homa married Joe Eddington; they later divorced. She married Lenny G. Homa on September 11, 1994 in Las Vegas. She grew up in Ohlman and graduated from Witt High School in 1975. She owned and operated The Corner Pub in Witt until retiring in 2019. She loved to cook, travel, fish, camp, and spend time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Homa is survived by her husband Lenny Homa; children April (husband Josh) Hadowsky of Pana, Amber (husband Dave) Collier of Odin, Abby (husband Joe) Bugg of Witt, and Andrienne Homa of Taylor Springs; grandchildren Jaden Hadowsky, Jenna Hadowsky, Joslyn Hadowsky, Aubrie Patkus, Makenna Compagni, Jonah Collier, Alaina Bugg, Alyvia Bugg, Blain Gunderson, Eryka Gunderson, Jaylen Gunderson, Justice Green, Gianna Newton, Breanna (husband Robert) Grand, Valerie Collier, and Dylan Collier; brother Roger Darnell of Witt, sisters Linda (husband Alan) Kottwitz, Patty (husband Greg) Meyers of Witt, and Toni (husband Shannon) Durbin of Witt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Kenneth L. Darnell.
