Violet (Richmond) Patton, 74, of Fillmore, died on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 7:52 p.m., at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Hillsboro.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Jerry Woods of Schram City United Pentecostal Church will officiate.
Mrs. Patton was born on Oct. 20, 1949, to the late Ira Lee and Clara Susan (Uhlry) Richmond. She married James R. Patton, Sr. on June 21, 1985, in Hillsboro, and he survives in Fillmore. She was a housewife and homemaker first, but she also worked as a CNA at several local nursing homes and later as a clerk at Casey’s in Pana.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Lennette (Mike) McBroom of Nokomis, Michelle Bass, (fiancé Mike Moler) of Schram City, David (Michelle) Bass of Fillmore, Mike (Mary) Patton of Ohlman and James (Jennifer) Patton, Jr. of New Castle, PA; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Patton was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Angela Sue (Patton) Bell.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or Montgomery County PAWS Care.
