Thomas “Tom” David White, 74, of Fillmore, died Thursday, July 11, 2024, at his residence in Fillmore.
Per Mr. White’s wishes, cremation rights are being accorded and no services are planned at this time. Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home of Nokomis is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on July 12, 1949 in Hillsboro, Mr. White was the son of John and Violet (McCoy) White. He was a graduate of Nokomis High School and continued his education at Meramec Community College in St. Louis County. He went on to join the Illinois National Guard and later trained at a welding school.
Mr. White was a welder at Ameren CIPS in Coffeen and was also a farmer, raising livestock. Some of his favorite things were horses and tractors. He was an acolyte at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Nokomis and St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Fillmore. He enjoyed spending time with friends and especially his family. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 456 in Nokomis.
In addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Robert and Doris (Frame) White.
He is survived by his children, Mark White of Fillmore, Lisa White of Litchfield, Chris (Nicole) White of Litchfield and Amy (Chad) Nickels of Brownstown; his grandchildren, Madison White, Teegan White, Colby Nickels, Rowan Nickels and Frances Nickels; his brother, John (Vicki) White of St. Charles, MO, and his sister, Kay (Pete) Koronis of Clayton, MO.
