Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 23, at Gillespie Methodist Church. Kravanya Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Messerly was born on July 1, 1982 in Ft. Worth, TX, to Richard William Messerly and Rhonda Denise Rife Messerly. He was a laborer for Livingston Pipe and Tube and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He loved golf, art, hacky sack, going to the beach, country music and family.
In addition to his parents, of Miami, FL, he is survived by his children, Gabriel Calcari of Litchfield, Cadence Middleton of Gillespie and Dalton Messerly of Bunker Hill; step-daughter, McKenzee Hayes of Bunker Hill; grandparents, Dorothy and Larry Henderson of House Springs, MO, Dorothy Rife of Wilsonville, and Janet Messerly of LaGrange, GA; brother, Chad Messerly of Jonesboro; sister, Tonya (Chris) Edgerton of Colonial Heights, VA; eight nieces and nephews, eight uncles and aunts and many cousins.
Mr. Messerly was precede in death by his grandfathers, Robert Messerly and William Rife, Sr.
