Mrs. Hantla was born on Aug. 22, 1938, in Litchfield, the daughter of the late Beldon and Frieda (Plozizka) Baker. A proud graduate of Litchfield High School’s class of 1956, she married Richard “Dick” Hantla on Sept. 30, 1956, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, and he preceded her in death.

She retired in 2009 at the age of 70.
An avid sports fan, Mrs. Hantla especially loved the Chicago Cubs, and she had the honor of throwing the first pitch at a Cubs game in 2002. The Hantla family extends special thanks to her private caregivers, Stacy and Georgia and the compassionate staff at Copper Creek Cottages.
She is survived by her sons, Scott (Amy) Hantla of Lenexa, KS and Larry Hantla of Panama City Beach, FL; as well as two grandchildren, Avery (Scott) and Gabriella.
