Gary L. Bergschneider, 75

Gary Leo Bergschneider, 75, of Farmersville, died on May 18, 2024, at his home with his wife and family by his side, after living with Parkinson’s disease for almost 15 years.
In accordance with his wishes cremation with private graveside services at Tine Sawyer Cemetery will take place on Friday, May 24, and a celebration of life to be planned at a later date. Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is assisting the family.
Mr. Bergschneider was born Aug. 18, 1948, the son of Leo and Betty Westbrook Bergschneider in Hillsboro. He lived in Harvel for many years where he served as fire chief and an EMT for the Raymond/Harvel ambulance. He moved to rural Farmersville in 1988. He worked at Bergschneider Trucking and a short time for UPS.
Mr. Bergschneider enjoyed being outdoors and many years were spent camping and boating. He loved living in the country with his wife Connie of almost 49 years together. He loved his pets and will be sadly missed by his 17 year old cat Baby Gray, who was never far from him.
Mr. Bergschneider is survived by his wife Connie (Pernicka) Bergschneider; son Matt (Jana) Bergschneider of Taylorville; grandchildren Jade (Lane) Bollinger, Reese Bergschneider and Jase Bergschneider, Ashley Page and Tiffany (Jason) Robinson; great-grandchildren Dominic, Zoey and Charlotte; and brother, Ron (Gail) Bergschneider.
