Constance “Connie” Marie (Peterson) Knaggs, 96, of Litchfield, died on May 25, 2024.
Visitation will be at Plummer Funeral Services in Litchfield, on Friday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to noon. The funeral will follow at the funeral home at Noon, with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. The Rev. Roy Eller of New Hope Baptist Church will officiate.
Ms. Knaggs was born April 23, 1928, in New Douglas to Freeland E. Peterson and Bessie Belle (Daniels) Peterson. She worked at Brown Shoe Company for ten years and Consumers Plastic and International Paper for 32 years before retiring in 1991. She was previously married to Edward (Eddie) Knaggs (divorced) and together they had two children, Carol Bruhn (Dale) of Litchfield and Ron Knaggs of Staunton.
Ms. Knaggs was a lifelong resident of Litchfield, loved worshiping with her church family at New Hope Baptist Church, fishing, playing bingo, shopping and watching Cardinal baseball games.
In addition to her children, Ms. Knaggs is survived by four grandchildren, Cara Bruhn of Greenville, Derrick Bruhn (Lynne) of Monticello, Michaelle Adams (Brian) of Perkasie, PA, and Jaron Knaggs (Elaine) Aurora, CO; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Luther Peterson, Eugene Peterson, Rollin Peterson, John Peterson and great grandchild Morley Bruhn.
