Cloyde ‘C.O.’ Snider, 83, of Donnellson, died on Monday, May 13, 2024, at his home.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Mr. Snider was born on Oct. 18, 1940, to the late John and Iona (Traylor) Snider in Coffeen. He married the former Alma Hamilton, and she preceded him in death in October of 2020. He was a retired laborer who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and his life on the farm.
He was an avid Cardinals fan who was blessed with his own small army of friends and neighbors who checked on him frequently and kept him out of trouble after Mrs. Snider’s death. Anyone who stopped by was greeted with a pot of coffee and a hefty dose of attitude and humor.
Mr. Snider is survived by his daughters, Becky (Jim) Clinard of Oglesby, Lisa Lusk of Hillsboro, Sheri (Kevin) Riley of Corydon, IN, Tammy (Robb) Hellman of Spartanburg, SC and Kristy Hadley of Donnellson; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; twin brother, Claude Snider of Fillmore; and his pet best buddies, Skipper and Ginger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; and two sisters, Lila King Warren and Oramay Snider.
