Rosemary E. Trader, 76, of Springfield, died at 6:01 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Trader was born on March 12, 1948, in Springfield, the daughter of Clyde and Betty (Smith) Murrell. She married James “Danny” Trader on July 28, 1965, and he survives.
She dedicated her entire life to taking care of her husband and daughters. She enjoyed reading, doing word searches, shopping and traveling to see their favorite band Boulderdash. She and her husband also enjoyed spending time ‘romancing around the town’ with Nick and Mary. She worked at IEA for 31 years and was the office manager for Trader Concrete Foundations until she retired.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Trader is survived by two daughters, Dolly (Mike Maxfield) Murray of Auburn and Jenny (Jeff) Abbott of Decatur; sister, Kathy Thompson of Farmersville; niece, Danielle Squires of Farmersville; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clyde Murrell.
