Robert E. Pollard, 44, of Highland, died on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 16, at 12 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Pastor Lynne Taylor with Mt. Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
Mr. Pollard was born on July 17, 1981, in Litchfield, a son of Clay Roger Pollard and Diane Lynn Beechler. He was a foreman with the Union Local #42 out of St. Louis, MO, for 25 years.
Mr. Pollard married Ashley Sue Holsapple on Nov. 13, 2010, at Pleasant Mound Baptist Church in Smithboro. She survives.
Mr. Pollard was a good cook and enjoyed grilling and smoking. He liked to travel to Florida and spend time with his family. He enjoyed jeeping, good coffee and espresso and going to casinos.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Pollard is survived by his father, Roger Pollard of Litchfield; sons, Shane Pollard of Panama and Brandon Pollard of Highland; daughters, Linzy Pollard of St. Louis, MO, Alleahnia Pollard of Hillsboro, Alyssa Pollard, Courtney Pollard and Ashlynn Pollard, all of Highland; brothers, C.J. Pollard and Wayne (Casey) Pollard, both of Litchfield; sisters, Amanda Pollard and Kelly Pollard, both of Litchfield; mother-in-law, Sherry Haas of Litchfield; father-in-law, Ernest Longwell of Smithboro; and grandchild, Atlas E. Pollard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane; grandparents, Elda Mae King and Theodore and Joy Pollard; and a cousin, Shane Furguson.
