Rebecca Arkebauer, 75, of Palmer, died on Feb. 1, 2026, at Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Perfetti and Assalley Funeral Home in Morrisonville. A funeral service will begin at noon with the Rev. Jim Ferrill officiating. Interment will follow at Morrisonville Cemetery.
Mrs. Arkebauer was born on Oct. 31, 1950, daughter of the late Raymond and Susa Jane (Nash) McWard. On July 8, 1988, she married William Arkebauer in Harrison, AR, and he survives.
She was an incredibly kind and giving person. She graciously donated to every charity possible, all throughout her life. She had a great appreciation for nature and found peace in spending time outdoors. She held a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs. Above all, she loved her family dearly and treasured the moments spent with them.
Mrs. Arkebauer is survived by her step-sons, Jeff (Kim) Arkebauer of Witt and Scott Arkebauer of Morrisonville; grandchildren, Devan (Jade) Arkebauer and Morgan (Stormmy) Arkebauer; great-grandchildren, Beau, Brayden, Charleigh, Poppi and Piper; brothers, Harry McWard of Palmer, Monroe (Laurie) McWard of Rochester and Jeff McWard of Taylorville; aunt, Helen McWard; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
