Linda Ann (Sester) Lazear, 62, of Hartwell, GA, died peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024 at her home.
Per Mrs. Lazear’s wishes, she will be cremated and a service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 1 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell. The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Feb. 26, 1962 in Litchfield, a daughter of Joan B. Hall Sester and the late John A. Sester. Mrs. Lazear was a graduate of Lincoln Land College and St. Louis University. She was a former perfusionist for Athens Regional Medical Center and retired math and science teacher for Madison County Middle School. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell.
Mrs. Lazear loved knitting, crocheting, reading books, living on the lake, sunsets, traveling, her dogs and most of all being around her family.
She is survived by her mother, Joan B. Hall Sester of Butler; husband, Mike Lazear of Hartwell, GA; daughters, Samantha (Taylor) Hill of Eatonton, GA and Mackenzie (Zach Melton) Lazear of Comer, GA; grandchild, Addison Hill; brother, Jay Sester of Butler; and sister, Laura Rench of Hillsboro.
