Lela Essie Flores, 79, died on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, in Broken Arrow, OK.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Walshville Baptist Church, located at 302 3rd St. in Walshville. Gary Kelley’s Add’vantage Funeral Service in Broken Arrow, OK, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Flores was born in Hillsboro, a daughter of the late Oley Edward Lawson and Lela Marie Busby. She was a devoted Christian and a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center. She loved sharing her faith with everyone she met.
Mrs. Flores found joy in fishing, cooking, being outdoors and especially in spending time playing with her grandchildren. Her faith, love and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all her knew her.
Mrs. Flores was preceded in death by her parents, Oley Edward Lawson and Lela Marie Busby; and her beloved grandson, Mason Shreve.
She is survived by her loving spouse, Juan Flores of Broken Arrow, OK; children, Carl (Lisa) Shreve of Vandalia and Gary (Stacy) Shreve of Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren, Megan (Isaac) Grapperhaus, Lilly Shreve, Eli Shreve and Laney Shreve; great-grandchildren, Nash Grapperhaus and Mason Grapperhaus; siblings, Oley Lawson of Texas, George (Jeanna) Lawson of Gillespie and Teresa (Rick) Wilson of Hillsboro; and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
