Donna J. (Becker) Shreve, 86, of Litchfield, died on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Hillsboro.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private burial will be held at a later date at Crabtree Cemetery in Litchfield. Litchfield Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Shreve was born on Aug. 7, 1939, in Edwardsville, to the late LeRoy G. and Ila Ruth (Davis) Becker. She was a 1957 graduate of Litchfield High School. During her lifetime, she worked as a secretary for an attorney in Hillsboro, as a secretary at a lumberyard in Mokena and at Jubelt’s in Mount Olive and Sierra in Litchfield.
Mrs. Shreve enjoyed solving word search puzzles, taking Sunday drives with her sister and watching nature programs and the QVC shopping network.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shreve was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia “Pat” Becker Denney and son-in-law, Jim McDonald.
Mrs. Shreve is survived by her daughter, Connie McDonald of Staunton and son, Randy Shreve of Hillsboro; two grandsons, Ryan (Rebekah) Streeb of Mount Olive and John McDonald of Litchfield; three great-grandchildren, Michael McDonald and Philip and Eleanor Streeb; sister, Virginia (Bob) Klump of Hillsboro; brother, Larry (Iva) Becker of Mackinaw; sister, Bonnie Booher of Litchfield; brother, Kim (Joni) Becker of Litchfield; brother, Mark (Sandy) Becker of Fowler; and several nieces and nephews.
