Debra Rae Hawk, 70, of Litchfield, died on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026, at 10:57 a.m., at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
No services are planned at this time. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is serving the family.
Mrs. Hawk was born Feb. 15, 1956, in Hillsboro, a daughter of Glen Leonard “Buck” and Lena Mildred (Lancaster) Pinkston. She married James E. Hawk on Sept. 29, 1973, in Carlinville, and he survives.
She attended the Carlinville Assembly of God Church. She loved writing poems and sending cards to family and friends. She was a very family centered person. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed going to Busch Stadium to watch them play.
In addition to her husband, Jim, Mrs. Hawk is survived by her son, Chris (Carla) Hawk of Litchfield; daughter, Shawna (Leonard) Ohren of Litchfield; brother, Byron “Gene” Pinkston of Terre Haute, IN; sisters, Brenda Todt of Raymond and Glenda (Sonny) Hohimer of Chatham; and grandchildren, Haileigh, Breanna and Eli Ohren and Andrew Hawk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Pinkston; and sisters, Marsha Pinkston and Sheryl Smith.
