Danny Michael Hampton, 71, of Irving, died at his home on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Mr. Hampton was born a son of Donald Doris and Julia Bell (Jackson) Hampton in Chicago, on December 27, 1954. He married Laresa Jean Jett and they later divorced.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. During his working years, he worked as a coal miner and at numerous manufacturing businesses such as GSI, International Papers and Grain and Protein Technologies. He always enjoyed reading, being outside, had a deep love for animals, tinkering around his home and spending time with his stepson, Patrick Jett, whom he raised and loved as his own. He was a loving stepfather and husband.
Mr. Hampton is survived by his brother, Dennis “Cleve” Hampton of St. Charles, MO; his half-sister, Judy Stillwell-Robinson; his ex-wife, Laresa Jean Jett; and his stepson, Patrick Jett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donnie Hampton; and nephew, Corey Hampton.
