Wilma J. Knapp, 86, of Jacksonville, IL died Monday, April 24, 2023, at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital.
Visitation was Wednesday, April 26, at Buchanan and Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, April 27, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Ebenezer Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Knapp was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Waverly, the daughter of William and Ruby (Farmer) Stewart. She married James E. Knapp on June 29, 1956, in Jacksonville, and he preceded her in death on March 10, 2018.
She enjoyed camping, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Knapp is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Greg Foster) Flynn of Springfield; her son, Gary E. (Susan) Knapp of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Jake (Abby) Flynn, Luke (Bobbi) Flynn of Hillsboro and Sarah Jo (Jason) Dean; four great-grandchildren, Griffen Flynn, Brinley Flynn, Lilly Flynn of Hillsboro and Barrett Dean; and siblings, Esta Lee Gillis, Gerald Stewart, Larry Stewart, William Stewart and Wayne Stewart.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roger Stewart (surviving wife Brenda) and Robert Stewart; and one sister, Janet McDade.
