Thomas “Tom” Eaton, 95, of Litchfield, died on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026.
Mr. Eaton was born on June 19, 1930. A longtime Litchfield resident, he was always known to lend a hand to anyone in need. On the Landreth farm, he learned to ride and shoe horses, carrying that passion throughout his life. He worked as a welder and handyman and owned the local bait shop.
He spent many years with Leona Hammond and was a beloved grandpa figure. He will be fondly remembered for his humor and kindness. Though we may not know every chapter, he was beloved and as steady as they come.
Flowers may be sent to Litchfield Nursing and Rehab Center or donations made to the Litchfield Community Center.
