Teri Lynn McGibany, 63, of Taylor Springs, died at 3:47 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2020 at her residence surrounded by family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 3, at 6 p.m. with the procession to Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento beginning at 7 p.m.
She was born Sept. 4, 1956 in Litchfield, the daughter of Laurel and Helen (Lochmann) McGibany. She graduated from Greenville High School in 1974. She worked for the State of Illinois Department of Human Services, as a social worker for 33 years, retiring in 2010.
She resided most of her life in Sorento, briefly in Springfield and later to Hillsboro and Taylor Springs where she maintained the private Taylor Springs Cinema.
She was the life of every party and get together, and could be counted on to help her family and friends any time they were in need. She was a best friend to many and a second mother to their children. She never forgot anyone’s birthdays or anniversaries, and is greatly missed.
