Starr Lavonne Cranford, 61, of Litchfield, died on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 3:05 a.m. at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 20, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, at 11 a.m., at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Pastor Jon Magnuson with Beacon Church in Litchfield will officiate. Cremation will follow the services. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cranford was born on Oct. 31, 1964, a daughter of Harold (Dave) and Kay Arlene (Heisman) Jones. She graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1983. She went on to obtain her cosmetologist license from Tri-County Beauty Academy. She married Gary Lee Cranford on Sept. 29, 1984, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. She was employed as a chiropractic assistant for Dr. Brad Virgin at Virgin Chiropractic in Litchfield and later worked with Dr. Brad Morris at Montgomery County Chiropractic as a chiropractic assistant for several years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, reading, crocheting cozy baby blankets and creating beautiful floral arrangements. She will always be remembered as an excellent cook. She was thoughtful, kind and caring and above all else, she loved her family to the moon and back.
In addition to her husband, Gary, Mrs. Cranford is survived by her father, Harold (Dave) Jones of Litchfield; daughters, Brandi (Ross III) Wilson of Sorento and Kelsey (Dustin) Libbra of Litchfield; brother, Carl (Jennie) Jones of Litchfield; brother-in-law, Brad (companion, Vera) Cranford; sister, Vickie (Tony) Throne of Litchfield; sister-in-law, Debra (Todd) Pyle of Danville, KY; father-in-law, Jim (Joyce) Cranford of Litchfield; grandchildren, Paitynn Wilson, Gunnar Wilson and Jaxson Kroll; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kay Jones; and mother-in-law, Carol Lee Cranford.
