Sherri Lynn (Hankins) Long, 55, of Litchfield, died on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento.
Mrs. Long was born Dec. 11, 1965, in Litchfield, to David and Carolyn (Small) Hankins. She married Ronald Long, and he survives.
She attended Litchfield High School, and served as a CNA at Aperion Care in Litchfield.
A past member of the First Baptist Church in Litchfield, Mrs. Long loved animals, camping and yard sales.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her grandmothers, Pearl Laird and Betty Law, both of Litchfield; parents; two sisters, Tammy Barto of Coffeen and Jody (Brian) Nowlan of Litchfield; nephew, John Pass; nieces, Lacey Barto and Britney Nowlan; great-nephew, Austin Pass; and great-niece, Brealyn Rein Smith.
Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her son, David Long, in 2007.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
