Sheila Ann Johnson, 81, of Butler, died on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 9:34 a.m. in her home.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
She was born on December 23, 1944, in Litchfield,a daughter of Graydon G. and Amy Dare (Logsdon) Culp. She attended Zion Lutheran School in Litchfield from the first grade until sixth grade. Her family then moved to Mt. Olive, where she grew up on a farm.
Mrs. Johnson went on to graduate from Mt. Olive High School with the Class of 1962. She married Clarence D. “Kelly” Johnson on June 19, 1965, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Roselle. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2025. Shortly after marriage, they moved to the upper peninsula of Michigan, where they resided for ten years. They later returned to central Illinois.
Mrs. Johnson worked in the accounts receivable department at Sierra International in Litchfield for 30 years until her retirement. She loved gardening, tending to her yard, baking and cooking. A dedicated member of the Erwin Township Historical Society in Ironwood, MI, she also loved to travel and ride along with her husband on bus trips.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Sara J. Johnson of Chicago; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Kelly, she was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Charles Culp.
