Sharon M. (Henson) Hayes, 59, of Springfield, died Saturday, June 26, 2021.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home in Springfield. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Hanson officiating.
Mrs. Hayes was born Aug. 3, 1961, in Pontiac, the daughter of Delbert E. and Marianne (Handzo) Henson. She married Paul Hayes on Sept. 8, 1990, in Okawville, and he survives.
She and her husband shared a wonderful life together, and she will be greatly missed by those who loved her. She focused most of her adult life on raising a family. She also loved animals and the St. Louis Cardinals.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her children, Deborah Weakly of Springfield, Paul Hayes, Jr. of Waverly, Jason Hernandez of Litchfield, Jodie Downs of Girard and Jacob Hayes of Springfield; five grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jo Sanders of Tennessee and Debbie Simmons of Dix; and several nieces, nephews and firends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Henson.
