Sandra ‘Sandy’ Kay Bertinotti, 82 of Hillsboro, died Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 6:15 p.m., at her residence.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at St. Barbara Cemetery in Witt. Mark Noyes of Hillsboro will officiate.
Mrs. Bertinotti was born June 10, 1941 in Schram city, to the late Lawrence E. and Marcella (Seaton) Sears. She attended schools in Schram City and graduated from Hillsboro High School. She married Dominick “Don” Bertinotti on Nov. 21, 1959 in Witt and he preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2017.
Mrs. Bertinotti lived in the Hillsboro area all of her life and worked as an office clerk at Dunn’s Electric in Hillsboro. She also assisted her husband as the Hillsboro Country Club greens keeper. She enjoyed playing cards at the Hillsboro Moose Lodge and loved to go to yard sales, play darts and to golf.
She is survived by her daughter, Teri Bertinotti of Hillsboro; sister, Barbara Springer of Naperville; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Betty White; brother-in-law Don Springer; and brother-in-law Merle White.
