Sallie Jeanne (Fahl) Hilligoss, 72, of Hillsboro, died on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.
No services are being held. Lincoln Land Cremation Society in Springfield assisted the family.
Ms. Hilligoss was born Aug. 1, 1948, in Hillsboro, to Harold and Alice (Hail) Fahl.
She graduated from Lincolnwood High School in 1966, and earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology/anthropology from Sangamon State University (now UIS).
Ms. Hilligoss retired from SIU School of Medicine in 2013.
She is survived by her son, Jeff (wife Talana) Keith of Springfield; brother, Steve (wife Lori) Fahl of Loveland, CO; two grandchildren, Landan Keith and Laree Keith; two great-grandchildren, Carson Keith and Julius Boyd; two nephews, Matt Fahl and Jared Fahl; great-niece, Jaycei Fahl; aunt, Anita Hall; and cousin, Chris (husband Mark) Meisner.
Ms. Hilligoss was preceded by her mother in 2011; father in 2021; and uncle, Bruce Hall.
