Rose Marie (Wise) Scott, 68, of Taylorville, formerly of Palmer, died on Friday, June 11, 2021, at 9:58 p.m. at her home with family by her side.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 16, beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Chad Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Garden in Taylorville.
Mrs. Scott was born on April 18, 1953, in Kissimmee, FL, to Clarence “Smiley” and Delores (Koonce) Wise. She married Larry C. Scott on June 1, 1973, in Tovey, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 2005.
She enjoyed fishing, Bingo, gambling at casinos, gardening, canning, cooking, playing cards, cookouts and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Scott was a member of Kincaid Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Angie (companion Lenny Lortie) Leers and DeeAnna (husband Ricky) Samson, both of Taylorville, and Larry C. (wife Tina) Scott, Jr. of Palmer; nine grandchildren, Emily (companion Chase Spinner) Leers, Gabe Leers, Justyce (companion Jonas Kingery) Scott, Witni (companion Austin Brakenhoff) Scott, Larry (companion Lydia Wilson) Scott III, Keagan (companion Tessa Anderson) Scott, Dakota Loyd, Quinton Mills and Nathan Mills; one great-grandchild, Aviah Wilson; brother, Richie (Vickie) Wise of Michigan; five sisters, Rita (Gary) Phillips of Washington, Terri (Robert) Latham and Karen (John) Paz, both of Texas, Janet (Dennis) Crowder of Owaneco and Darla Gatton of Morrisonville; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents.
