Robert William Scobell, 68, of Nokomis, died on Friday, May 1, 2026, at his home.
Cremation care will be accorded prior to a graveside ceremony with military honors at Witt Cemetery which will be announced at a later date. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Scobell was born on March 13, 1958, in Hillsboro, the son of Edward Sr. and Elaine (Schmit) Scobell. He was a graduate of Witt High School. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching television.
Mr. Scobell is survived by his significant other of over 45 years, Carol Madge of Nokomis; a daughter, Sheri Scobell of Taylorville; two grandchildren, Destiny Presnell and Anthony Presnell, both of Nokomis; two sisters, Ruth Ann Scobell of Witt and Jane Page of Hillsboro; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Scobell was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Cynthia Hawn; and two brothers, Donald Frank and Edward Scobell Jr.
