Richard Joseph Pokorney, 59, of Gillespie, died on Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, at 10:19 p.m. at his residence.
Cremation rites were accorded. No services are planned at this time. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mr. Pokorney was born Dec. 15, 1962, in Litchfield, to Raymond Pokorney and Loretta (Daugherty) Pokorney Elliot.
He was a laborer who owned his own handyman business.
Mr. Pokorney is survived by his children, Amber, Josh, Ricky, Tracy, Andrea and Ashley; and grandchildren, Amelia, Hazel, Morgan and Kolten.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Wayne Elliot; son, Derick Pokorney; sister, Tracy; grandparents, Roy and Edna Daugherty; and uncles, Roy Daugherty, Jr. and Larry Daugherty.
