Peggy Jane Liebscher Westbrook, 94, of Litchfield, and formerly of Hillsboro, died on the morning of July 22, 2026, at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
At her request, no services are being planned.
Mrs. Liebscher Westbrook was born on March 2, 1932, a daughter of Louis and Dolores (Harkey) Betoche, in Hillsboro.
She graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1950. She married Arthur Liebscher in January of 1954 and they were together until his passing in August of 1955. She found second love with Paul Westbrook, and they married in April of 1962. Mr. Westbrook preceded her in death in November of 2023.
Mrs. Liebscher Westbrook worked as an admitting clerk at Hillsboro Hospital for 32 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Hillsboro Presbyterian Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids; traveling, especially to Florida and to the Casino Queen; and shopping with her friends.
Mrs. Liebscher Westbrook is survived by two sons, Tony (Marcia) Liebscher and Terry (Linda) Liebscher; her daughter, Jan (significant other Dennis Petty) Richardson; six grandchildren, Corry, Carrie, Niki, Paul, Melana and Stacey; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one brother, Don Betoche; two sisters, Dorothy “Tootie” Eckhoff and Rosemarie “Picky” Norber; and a son-in-law, Terry Richardson.
