Paul J. Westbrook, 84, of Hillsboro, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at Hillsboro Area Hospital.
No services are planned at this time. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Westbrook was born on Sept. 6, 1939 in Hillsboro, to the late James and Edith McCaslin Westbrook. He married Peggy Betoche on April 14, 1962, and she survives.
He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and managed Laclede Steel for 37 years. Mr. Westbrook was of the Presbyterian faith and was a past member of the Jaycees, Hillsboro Moose and Hillsboro Country Club. Mr. Westbrook was a member of the Coffeen softball team the Road Runners, and enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears and loved to golf.
He is survived by his wife; children Tony (Marcia) Liebsher, Terry (Linda) Liebsher and Jan Richardson; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Westbrook of Hartford, CT, and one sister, Martha Jackson of Witt.
Mr. Westbrook was preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandchild; and brothers Walter and James Westbrook and sister Maude Lamb.
