The Litchfield boys golf team got a preview of Monday’s South Central Conference Tournament course and two more wins on Sept. 20, as they defeated Greenville and Southwestern at Indian Springs Golf Course near Fillmore.
The Panthers shot a 173 as a team, with Tug Schwab and Ian Otto tying for the top spot individually. Greenville would be second with a 208, while Southwestern was third with a 245. Pana also played, bringing three players to the match.
Schwab and Otto were two of the three players to break 40 at Indian Springs, shooting a pair of 38s to beat Pana’s Austin Karbach by a stroke.
The trio were actually the only ones to shoot better than a 47, with Litchfield’s A.J. Odle and Greenville’s Dustin Rehkemper tying for fourth individually with 11-over-par rounds.
Kelvin Dooley finished out Litchfield’s scoring with a 50, while Zach Boston was the Panthers’ fifth man with a 53.
Litchfield will play at Belk Park on Thursday, Sept. 23, for their next match, followed by the South Central Conference Tournament back at Indian Springs on Sept. 27.
