The Nokomis School Board seated three reelected members and one new board member during a special organizational meeting on Tuesday, April 27, at the unit office.
The board seated Denny Bauman, Carl Ray Fesser and Steve Janssen, reelected to the board in the April consolidated election, along with Carl Kettelkamp.
Superintendent Dr. Scott Doerr presented retiring board member Jim Eisenbarth with a plaque in honor of 20 years of service on the school board.
Board member unanimously elected Chad Ruppert as president, Steve Janssen as vice-president, Denny Bauman as secretary, and appointed Jan O’Malley as district treasurer.
The board also approved a resolution denying Taylorville’s petition to withdraw from the NPT special education cooperative, and hired Rebekah Simpson as pre-K teacher pending certification, Lydia McDonald as part-time instructional coach, and Cinthia Gillespie as high school math teacher.
