Nancy Mellmon Spinner, 93, of Hillsboro, died on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Cremation rites well be accorded and a private family memorial will be held at a later date. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Spinner was born on May 27, 1928, in Hillsboro to Lon and Bertha Edna (Lyerla) Mellmon. She married Harold C. Spinner on April 20, 1952, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, and he preceded her in death in 2012.
Mrs. Spinner was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and a member of the Christian Church of Disciples of Christ in Hillsboro. She worked at Montgomery Co. National Bank and at Jim Lanter’s Carpet Sales. Her main joy was spending time with her children. She also greatly enjoyed helping organize her 1946 HHS Class reunions and socializing with her class members.
Mrs. Spinner is survived by one son, Michael L. Spinner of Cleveland, OH; one daughter, Nancy Kopp of Highland; nephews, Lynn Smith of Hillsboro and Joe Smith of Highland; and niece, Debbie Davidson of Fillmore. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Donna Smith; and niece, Linda Logsdon.
