Nancy Ellen Darda, 61, of Danville, previously of Champaign, died at 4:38 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, at her residence in Danville.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, with Rev. Stefan Munker, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Ms. Darda was born on March 11, 1961, in Hillsboro, to the late Jerry Darda and Ruth Ellen (Meyer) Darda. She was a 1979 graduate of Hillsboro High School and went on to Eastern Illinois University to attain her bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy. Ms. Darda had recently retired from the Champaign School District where she worked as an after school program instructor. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. In her spare time, she loved crafting and riding her bicycle.
Ms. Darda is survived by her brother, David (wife, Patty) Darda of Ellensburg, WA; nieces and nephews, Joe (wife, Samantha) Darda, Zack Darda and Sam Darda; and her aunt, Betty Darda of Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
