Michael Sean Hankins, 53, of Mt. Olive, died on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, at 3:26 a.m. at Carlinville Area Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Litchfield VFW. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie is assisting the family.
Mr. Hankins was born Dec. 26, 1968, in Litchfield, to Leonard Hankins and Luva Peacock.
During his career, he served as a truck driver. He loved baseball and football, especially the Cubs and Steelers.
Mr. Hankins is survived by his siblings, Helen Jones of Winder, GA, Dave (Carol) Hankins of Litchfield, Peggy (Sam) Osburn of Harrisburg and Lenny (Patra) Hankins of Bunker Hill; nieces and nephews, Jodi (Brian) Nolan, Tammy Lynn, Donnie Pointer, Lisa Paterson, Travis Hankins, Brady Hankins, Nick Emery, Eric Emery, Cassandra (Mark) Hancock, Theodore Hopper Jr., Kriesten (Brian) Reeves, Leeann (Dylan) Heaps, Sam Walker and Johnny Jones; many cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Erlyn Hutton and Bill Rhoads.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ted Hopper; nephew, Danny Hankins; and niece, Sherrie Long.
