The Montgomery County Health Department has added dates and locations to their annual drive-through flu shot clinics.
The health department will be offering flu shots in:
•Donnellson at the former recycling drop-off on Carson Street north of village hall from 8:30-10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5
•Panama on Hilton Avenue east of the VFW from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Oct. 5
•Witt at the Witt Lions Club from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5
•Nokomis at the Park House from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 6
•Raymond in the high school parking lot from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6
•Hillsboro in the lower high school parking lot from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7
•Litchfield at Skyview Drive-In from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 9
•Fillmore at M&M Service from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12
•Coffeen at the school from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13
•Donnellson at Village Hall from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14
•Irving at the Century House from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19
•Nokomis on South Spruce Street next to Fred B. Johnson Park from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20
•Farmersville on South East Street next to City Park from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21
•Litchfield at the Litchfield Community Center from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26
•Panama on Hilton Avenue east of the VFW from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27
The cost of a regular adult vaccine is $30, and the cost of the high-dose for ages 65 and over vaccine is $65. The health department accepts cash and checks, and is able to bill insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid and Medicaid MCOs.
Flu shots will also be available at walk-in clinics at the main office on Route 185 in Hillsboro on Mondays and Thursdays between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. beginning Monday, Sept. 27. If special assistance is needed, call 217-532-2001 upon arrival and the shot can be administered in your vehicle.
Businesses who are interested in providing immunizations to a minimum of five employees may contact the health department office at 217-532-2001 to make arrangements for a nurse to come to the business site.
During the flu clinics, the health department will be following CDC and IDPH guidelines. COVID-19 vaccinations will also be available at each clinic.
