Mary Jane Fesser, 83, of Morrisonville, died, surrounded by her family, on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Rochester Estates in Rochester.
A funeral service for Mrs. Fesser will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvel with Pastor Chris Prumm officiating. The visitation will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, in the church and burial will be in the Morrisonville Cemetery.
Mrs. Fesser was born on October 8, 1942, in rural Palmer, NE, the daughter of Charles and Esther (Simonson) Van Pelt. She married Glenn Carl Fesser on July 9, 1966, in the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Palmer, NE, and he preceded her in death on March 22, 2018.
Mrs. Fesser was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvel where she took part in the quilting group and Ladies Aid. She worked alongside her husband on their family farm. She and her husband enjoyed square dancing together.
Mrs. Fesser is survived by her daughters, Carla Fleigle (Phil) of Heyworth, Brenda Fesser of Springfield and Dana Pinnow (Chris) of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren, Jared Fleigle (McKenzie) of Ballston Spa, NY, Kayla Fleigle of St. Louis, MO, and Shawn Pinnow and Isaac Pinnow, both of Cartersville, GA; siblings, Dan Van Pelt of Minnesota, Carol Corbett (Stan) of Massachusetts, Bonnie Jacobsen of Nebraska, Connie Taylor (Jim) of Nebraska, and Doris Cerny (Mike) of Nebraska; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Jay Van Pelt and Nancy Mattson.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church or Individual Advocacy Group (IAG) in Springfield.
