Marie Donnafaye Lehman, 87, of Litchfield, formerly of Hillsboro, died Sunday, May 14, 2023, at 9 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday May 19, at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Paul Froese, the Rev Jerry Woods and the Rev. Tim Froese of the United Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will be at Chapman Cemetery in Mt Olive. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Lehman was born Jan. 27, 1936, in Taylor Springs, to William and Anna (Bohlen) Osborn. She married Frank Lehman on Nov. 14, 1953, at her parent’s home in Schram City, and he preceded her in death in August 1990. Mrs. Lehman was a 1953 graduate of Hillsboro High School,

She was a mother and farmwife. Mrs. Lehman was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Schram City, where she played the piano and was very active in the chuch. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. Mrs. Lehman was self-taught to play the piano and played by ear, she loved to sing, and enjoyed cooking.

Mrs. Lehman is survived by her children, Janet (husband, Michael)Wilkinson of Hillsboro, Brenda (husband, Wes) Clanton of Hanna City, Kevin Lehman of Festus, MO, Carla (husband, Todd) Hill of Hillsboro and Michael Lehman (special friend, Cherie)  of Fox Lake; grandchildren, Tony (wife, Nicole) Wilkinson, Jacob (wife, Kate) Wilkinson, Phil (wife, Danielle) Wilkinson, Amy Zumwalt, Jody Clanton, Jonathan Lehman, Jeremy Lehman, Steven Lehman, Bradley (wife, Alexis) Hill and Michael Frank Lehman Jr (special friend, Cara); and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Ruby Matthews, Betty Lynch, William Osborn, Wilburn Osborn and Norwood Osborn.
