Margaret Usher, 80, of Irving, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023, surrounded by her family.
A memorial service for Mrs. Usher was held on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at 6 p.m. with Dawson Miller officiating. Hough and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Usher was born on Nov. 1, 1943, in Hillsboro, to Edward Eskra and Catherine McDade. A 1961 graduate of Hillsboro High School, she attended St. John’s School of Nursing in Springfield before marrying her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Roger Usher.
They worked together at their business and over the road truck driving. She loved spending time with her family, traveling and bird watching.
Mrs. Usher is survived by her husband, Roger Usher of Irving, her daughter, Debby (Tim) Friedman of O’Fallon and son, Scot (Brenda) Usher of Fillmore; grandchildren, Zachary Usher of Denver, CO, and Brittney (Jake) Tester of Farmersville; great-grandchildren Ryker Tester and Maisie Tester; and a brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
